Jessica is the Executive Director of the ARIES institute and manages its strategic direction, the design and development of new projects, submissions for funding, liaison with all stakeholders, coordination of the ARIES team, production and editing of ARIES reports and publications, and the financial management of the institute.
With a strong background in business administration and communication, Jessica's previous roles include: Consultant Editor for the EarthWatch Institute's ClimateWatch website; Business Manager for the sustainability and carbon-management consultancy Kinesis; Project Manager at Knox Grammar School; Finance and Administration Manager for NSW public schools; owner of two private businesses; and publishing editor.
Jessica's writing includes: four handbooks on industry-specific administration; two lifestyle books; "Contributing to Sustainable Development" (a chapter co-written with Suzanne Benn for Tomorrow Today, the UN's book celebrating the United Nations' Decade of Education for Sustainable Development); plus articles for the Journal of the NSW Association for Environmental Education, the Journal of the Victorian Association for Environmental Education, Vogue Entertaining and Vogue Children. She has also edited documents for many government and private organisations.
Jessica's voluntary contributions include founding the Senior Services Guide, being a member of the Planet Ark Environmental Foundation, teaching English to adult migrants, and providing administration services to the NSW Wildlife Information and Rescue Service (WIRES).
