Industry sustainability:
Stage 1: A review of sustainability resources for industry

An Education for Sustainability study funded by the Australian Government Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts was undertaken by ARIES and ARUP Sustainability with guidance from the National Environmental Education Council Industry Working Group.
The objective was to review sustainability toolkits and other products to determine what resources already exist for companies wishing to engage with sustainability concepts and to identify the lessons learned in order to inform the development of future resources. The findings of this study provide a number of valuable insights into existing sustainabilty resources in Australia and overseas, including areas of best practice and barriers to business and industry engagement.
Stage 2 of this project assisted a small number of companies to improve the integration of sustainability withing their organisation using Triple Bottom Line reporting as a driver for change.
